The Three Muses: Wings on Things / Siivekkäitä

Rakastan perhosia, ja niitä lenteleekin kesäisin pihassani paljon, koska ns. puutarhani on aika villissä kunnossa ja kasvattaa lukuisia luonnonkukkia, joita perhoset puolestaan rakastavat. Rakastan myös uusia Xcutin lävistäjiäni, perhosta ja kukkaa, joiden avulla voi tehdä ihania kortteja ja kollaaseja. Tällä altsukirjani aukeamalla osallistun Kolmen Muusan tämänviikkoiseen haasteseen. Kuvan taustan maalasin kahdella gessokerroksella: alla on keltaiseksi sävytettyä gessoa ja sen päällä vihreäksi sävytettyä gessoa, johon "piirsin" kammalla ja tikulla ruohikkoa, kun gesso oli vielä märkää.

I love butterflies, and there are a lot of them flying around in my garden in the summer. My so called "garden" is in a pretty wild state, growing all kinds of wild flowers, and the butterflies love them. I also love my new Xcut punches, the butterfly and the flower. With them I can make the most beautiful cards and collages. With this spread from my alterd book journal I'm participating in the Three Muses' challenge of the week. I painted the background of this collage with two layers of gesso: first there is a layer of yellow gesso, and on top of that I painted a layer of green gesso, and when that layer was still wet I "draw" the grass in it with a comb and a stick.
