Theme Thursday: Spring / Kevät

Tällä ATC:llä osallistun Theme Thursdayn haasteeseen, jonka aiheena on "Kevät".

This ATC is my entry for Theme Thursday's challenge "Spring". For me, spring is here when the grass starts growing new green leaves and the migrating birds come back here for the summer. But that's still a long way ahead - everything here is covered with at least half a meter of snow...

Theme Thursday: Flower(s) / Kukk(i)a

Tällä altsukirjan aukeamalla osallistun Theme Thursdayn kukka-aiheiseen haasteeseen. Teki mieleni tehdä jotain kesäistä ja värikästä, sillä olen niiiiiin kyllästynyt tuohon kokovalkoiseen maisemaan, jota on saanut katsella kohta kaksi kuukautta. - Naamakukat ovat Teesha Moorelta, numerot tälläkin kertaa Riandesignilta. Perhoset leikkasin omista kukkavalokuvistani PhotoShopin piparkakkumuotti-työkalulla.

This spread from my altered book is my entry for Theme Thursday's flower challenge. I wanted to make something summery and colourful, because I'm really starting to get bored with this all-white landscape we've had now for almost two months. - The flowers with faces are from Teesha Moore, the numbers from Riandesign. The butterflies are cut from my own flower photos with PhotoShop's cookie cutter tool.

Theme Thursday: Favorite number / Lempinumero

Tällä altsukirjan aukeamalla osallistun Theme Thursdayn haasteeseen, jonka aiheena on "Lempinumerot". Olen aina tykännyt vitosesta - ja onhan se tärkeä numero, koska sormiakin on kädessä viisi. - Leike-vitoset ovat Riandesignilta, kädenjäljet omia.

This spread from my altered book is my entry for Theme Thursday's challenge "Favorite numbers". I have always liked the number five - and it is an important number, because there are five fingers in the hand. - The cut-out number fives are from Riandesign, the handprints are my own.

Theme Thursday: Flying / Lentäen

Näillä kahdella ATC-kortilla osallistun Theme Thursdayn haasteeseen, jonka aiheena on lentäminen. Kortit tein ompelukoneella huopapohjalle koottuun paperikollaasiin. - Samalla toivotan teille kaikille Hyvää Uutta Vuotta 2010!

These two ATCs are my entry for Theme Thursday's this week's challenge "Flying". I made them with the sewing machine on a paper collage glued on a piece of felt. - I wish you all a Happy New Year 2010!

Theme Thursday: Favorite colours / Lempivärit

Pidän monenlaisista väreistä, mutta kaikkein eniten syksyn rikkaista, syvistä, täyteläisistä sävyistä. Tällä atc-kortilla osallistun Theme Thursdayn lempivärit-haasteeseen.

I like many kinds of colour, but my favorites are the rich, deep, full shades of the autumn. This atc is my entry for Theme Thursday's challenge "Favorite colours".

Theme Thursday: ATCs with a Bird /Lintuaiheiset ATC:t

Tässä lintuaiheiset ATC:ni Theme Thursdayn haasteeseen. Tuli tehtyä kaksi, koska minulla oli tuollainen hieno pari haukankuvalla varustettuja postimerkkejä. Nuo toiset linnut ovat kiiltokuvia, taustan olen tehnyt maalaamalla kartongin ensin sinisellä ja sitten violetimmalla akryylivärillä ja painamalla siihen sitten kuvioita kuplamuovilla. - Klikkaa kuvaa, niin näet sen suurempana!

These are my ATCs with a bird (or actually two birds) for Theme Thursday's challenge. I just had to make two cards, because I had a couple of these wonderful postage stamps with a falcon. The other birds are glossy die cuts, and I made the background by painting a piece os cardboard first blue, then violet with acrylic paints, and then I pressed a piece of bubble wrap on the wet paint to finish the surface. - Click the image if you want to enlarge it!

Theme Thursday: Wings / Siivet

"Siivet" ovat Theme Thursdayn tämänkertainen haaste - osallistun siihen näillä lentokaloilla. Minusta on ihanaa laittaa asioita ja tavaroita lentämään, ja niinpä annoin lohelle ja silakalle siivet. - Lohi siipineen on itkupillin digiarkeista, silakan siivet ja kortin koristeena olevat paljetit sain tänään Silkulta ATC-vaihtareiden mukana. Silakka on Hesarin Silakkamarkkinajutusta. Syökää kalaa, se on terveellistä!

"Wings" is this week's theme of Theme Thursday. My entry for this challenge are these flying fish. I love to make things fly, so I gave wings to a salmon and a herring. - The salmon and it's wings are from itkupilli's digital sheets, the herring's wings and the spangles were among the lovely candies I got today from Silkku with the ATC's I traded from her. The herring image is from today's newspaper, from an article about the big fish market days starting in Helsinki. Eat more fish, it's good for your health!

Theme Thursday: Halloween

Tässä ATC:ni, jolla osallistun Theme Thursdayn Halloween-haasteeseen. Kuutamoyönä kulkevalla noidalla on varmasti pahat mielessä. Entisaikaan uskottiin, että kotieläinten sairaudet olivat noitien aikaansaannoksia - siksi laitoin korttini taustaksi sivun vanhasta eläinlääkintäoppaasta. Noita on itkupillin Halloween-digiarkista. - Muistakaa lukita navetan ovi Halloween-yönä! - Tämä kortti menee Silkulle.

This ATC is my entry for Theme Thursday's Halloween-challenge. This moon-lit witch certainly has some bad intensions. In the old days people believed that animal diseases were caused by witches - so I put a page from an old book of veterinary medicine as the background of my card. The witch is from a digital sheet by itkupilli. - Remeber to lock the cow house door at the Halloween night!

ThemeThursday: Tagit / Tags

Tässä korttini ThemeThursdayn haasteeseen, jonka aiheena on "Tagit". Kortin idea lähti liikkeelle ystäviltä saaduista ja hankituista aineksista: tausta on itkupillin arkista "Abandoned Houses" ja siluettikuvan antoi minulle vaihtokaupanpäällisenä pappipuikoissa. Eilen illalla aloin pyöritellä mielessäni, mitä niistä mahtaisi saada yhdisteltynä, ja tänään tämä tagi-haaste sitten sai idean syntymään. Kiitokset ystäville! - Tämä kortti menee Silkulle.

This ATC is my entry for ThemeThursday's challenge "Tags". The ingredients of this card originate from my friends: the background is from a digital sheet "Abandoned Houses", which I purchased from itkupilli. The silhouette image was a gift from pappipuikoissa, with whom I traded cards a week ago. Last night I started to think what I might be able to make of these together, and then with today's challenge the idea was born. Thank you friends!
