The Three Muses: Nature's Creatures / Kaiken maailman eläimet

Sudenkorennot ovat lumoavia olentoja, sekoitus kaunotarta ja hirviötä. Niitä on monenvärisiä ja monenmuotoisia, ja niiden kauneus paljastuu, kun joskus malttaa katsoa rauhassa läheltä. Mikä onkaan kauniimpi näky, kuin lämpimänä kesäpäivänä pihan yllä lentelevät sudenkorennot! Tällä Puutarha-altsukirjani aukeamalla osallistun "Kolmen Muusan" haasteeseen, jonka aiheena ovat kaikenlaiset luonnon olennot. Kollaasini tausta on maalattu akryyliväreillä, sudenkorennot ovat itkupillin digiarkista, ja kasvit omalta pihaltani - skannasin niitä varastoon viime kesänä.

Dragonflies are fascinating creatures, a blend of beauty and beast. They come in many colours and shapes, and if you take a close look at one, then you can really see how wonderful they are. What could be a more beautiful sight than dragonflies flying around in the garden on a warm summer day! This spread from my altered book Garden journal is my entry for the Three Muses' this week's challenge "Nature's Creatures". The background is painted with acrylic paints, the dragonflies are from itkupilli's digital collage sheet, and the plants are from my own garden - I scanned a stash of them last summer for later use.
