The Three Muses challenged us with the theme "Inspirational People". I made a page in my altered book about my grandaunt Aino (1896-1989), whose life has inspired me in many ways. When she was young, she was an actress in the theatre (in the pink frame is a photo from 1919), then she made a career as a manager of entertainment artists (in the green frame you can see her in her office in the 1940s), and later she was the respected but not feared eldest of the family (in the orange frame she holds my baby daugther in 1979). I often visited her and listened to her interesting stories. She survived two world wars and one cancer, and she was for me an example of an independent woman dedicated to her art and work. - The photos are from grandaunt Aino's album, the apple tree branch is my own artwork, drawn with Caran D'Ache wax oils.
